Wow, it's been too long since I've done an update but the summer was full of activity. This newsletter will contain mission updates, family pictures, prayer requests and content links. Enjoy the read!
OUR FAMILY IS GROWING!
I know you might think I'm talking about our kids here, but I'm not. Although it is true that the kids are growing. The family I'm talking about here is our church family. The Lord has allowed for two families to move to the island this summer to be a part of Table Church and to help advance the mission of the gospel on the west side of Puerto Rico. I've posted a brief description below each of their family pics. We are so excited to have some faithful families joining our core team and look forward to how their giftedness by the Spirit of God will advance His mission through Table Church. We've also had the great pleasure of meeting some new families who live on the island. Time will tell if they want to link arms with Table Church for the sake of mission and God's glory but in every step we keep our hope in the Lord.
The Zimmerman Family - Tyler and Amanda have moved here from Gospel Hope Church in Avondale Estates, GA. He is serving as Executive Pastor of Table Church.
The Thacker Family - Josh and Wendy have moved here from Community of Faith in Hockly, TX. He is a church plant apprentice with the Send Network.
OUR FAMILY IS STILL GROWING!
So here I'm now referring to our kids. They won't stop growing up. I know we all are moving at the same rate of time, but man does the transformation of your kids appear to happen faster. As of May, Ariel is now 10 and Josiah is 14. The kids have been very busy through the summer with camps, friend hangouts, and sports. When they are home they enjoy reading, cooking, playing games and watching movies. Maria has enjoyed some much needed rest from the Homeschool Co-op this summer. We continue our evening walks together and have enjoyed some great date nights and family fun. Here's some highlights from our times together as a family over the summer.
MISSION ACTIVITY
Aside from our the weekly elements of Sunday services and Family Prayer Night on Wednesday, we've been able to serve the community through sports and service. Our Soccer Camp this summer was a huge success! We had about 20 more kids this year than last year and we extended it to an entire week this summer. All in all we were able to teach truths about Jesus and the gospel to about 60 kids from the community. I served as a small group leader for a youth camp near us. Through this time I was able to encourage a couple guys in particular to get baptized and plugged into a local church. We also had a mission team visit for a one day serve. They gave some much needed help to a single mom who is a big part of our church plant. Our process of getting into the adoption system is progressing. We have cultivated a good relationship with a children's home in Isabela, and all in all we are grateful for the work God is doing and that he's allowing us to be a part of. PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for us to find a new space to gather, both as a church and as a homeschool co-op. We have our eyes on a place that will take a miracle for us to get it. The Lord has already provided some really helpful counsel in the pursuit of the property. We are proceeding with wise caution while also dreaming big about what the Lord can do.
Please pray for the new families that have transitioned to the island. Pray for their emotional and spiritual well being in the midst of the challenges that moving to Peurto Rico inevitably brings.
Please pray for the Lord to provide for our needs. We are especially praying for new families to join Table Church who can be a part of its long-term sustainability.
Please pray for our dear friend Claudio who attends Table Church. He fell 12ft from his roof and broke some bones. He is currently recovering but can use all the prayer he can get for both physical healing and a continuing growth in Spiritual wisdom and understanding.

This summer I led our church through a Biblical Theology Class via WhatsApp. It's a basic overview of the Bible in 16 movements. Here's the link to the Google slides.
