February proved to be a full month of ministry and fruitfulness. God is working in small, but powerful ways as we serve this northwest area of Puerto Rico. I was recently deeply encouraged by these well known verses in Isaiah 40:28-31:
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
There is so much of what we are doing that is out of our control. The timing of how this missional endeavor falls into place is completely dependent on God's sovereign plan. I have been finding great comfort in the working and the waiting.
TABLE CHURCH WORK PROJECT
One of our values at Table Church is to "Bless the city." This last month we were able to participate in a local project. We served in partnership with Redimidos de Cristo and an incoming mission team from Send Relief. It was especially good to see the kids of Table Church be a part of serving others. The house project is being done for a single mom that Redimidos has been caring for both spiritually and physically.

MY BOOK READING AND PLAYLIST MAKING HOBBIES
In case you don't know this about me. I love books and I love music. I like to read widely and listen eclectically. Here's some recent stuff that I've put together:
Substack (Subscribe)
If you don't know what Substack is then you are missing out on what social media is supposed to be. At least the way I've curated my Substack page has led me to so many wonderful gospel truths, interesting articles, insightful cultural critiques and, lest I forget, lots of book nerd memes!
I recently posted my first book quote collection. My goal is to post one every Friday. If you like books and quote dumps, then please subscribe to my Substack page. I have no plans of grandeur here. It's just a hobby for me. I'll do it even if no one is reading...haha! You can check my post through this link:
15 Insightful Quotes From Gavin Ortlund (Selected from "What It Means To Be Protestant"
Spotify Playlists
For this upcoming Lenten season I've put together two playlists. If you like music then maybe you'll enjoy reflecting on the Lenten themes expressed through the lyrics and melodies.
A Playlist for Ash Wednesday. The first five songs are theologically rich. The second five songs are an eclectic mix of culture echoing divine truth.
Deep musical reflections on the Cross of Christ. (I threw a couple oldies in here)
PLEASE KEEP PRAYING
Here are some ways you can keep praying for us:
We've been able to meet some great families here that do not yet know Jesus Christ. Please pray that they would respond to the gospel with faith and obedience.
We have some new, young (6 years old) believers in our church. They just announced to our church that they have trusted in Jesus. Pray for the children at Table Church that they would delight in Christ more and more with every year they age.
We have some opportunities for more mission with Coast Guard families. Pray these opportunities bear fruit for God's kingdom.
Our kids school this year has been a challenge. We are pressing on till the end. Pray that they have joyful and resilient attitudes as they complete the school year.
We are looking at some locations for meeting. (We currently meet at our house). Pray for wisdom, discernment, and the funds needed for the next step of this church planting endeavor.
